Children are a vital part of the St. Mark’s family. We offer a variety of Christian Formation opportunities for children from infancy through high school so that they may grow in faith and lead us by example.
Nursery care is offered every Sunday from 9:30am-12:30pm for children ages 0-2. The Nursery is located downstairs and is staffed by our trained caregivers.
Children’s Faith Formation
At St. Mark’s our goal is to guide our children in knowing God’s love and relating our faith journey to everyday life. On Sunday mornings, the faith formation program takes place during the 10:30am worship service (except in the case of high school students). Children join their families in the service for communion.
- Preschool ages 2-4 (downstairs)
Every Sunday begins with a short Children’s Chapel service in which the children participate and listen to a Bible story. After chapel the children have creative playtime structured on Godly Play principles.
- Elementary grades 1-4 (upstairs)
Every Sunday begins with a short Children’s Chapel service in which the children participate and listen to a Bible story. The children experience and interact with the stories of God and God’s people and learn the language of our Christian faith.
- Middle School grades 5-7 (upstairs)
Middle School children
- High School grades 8-12 (upstairs) 9:30-10:30
High School students meet before the 10:30 service so that they can attend the service with their families. During their formation time the children read and study scripture and complete a number of projects that aid our church community.
